Vacancy for Class Teacher/English Leader at Downham Feoffees Primary Academy
Salary: Main/Upper Scale with Teaching & Learning Responsibility (TLR 2.1 - £3,391 per year)
Hours: Full-time
We have an exciting vacancy for a class teacher, most likely teaching in Key Stage Two, who is able to lead English across our school. We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and forward-thinking teacher with a strong knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum who can inspire and lead colleagues across the school as well as create meaningful learning opportunities for our children. You will be part of our school’s wider leadership team and have a role in providing effective strategic direction, working closely with our partner school, The Lantern Community Primary School in Ely. This would be a great opportunity to further develop leadership skills and experience in promoting high quality teaching and learning in English. You will enjoy being a member of a fantastic team of teachers and support staff working closely together to inspire our children with a love of learning! The ideal candidate:
- Will have a QTS teaching qualification with interest in further career development
- Outstanding classroom practitioner with excellent English subject knowledge/teaching experience
- Will possess outstanding communication skills and can work successfully in teams
- Has high expectations for themselves and cares about delivering high quality lessons
- Ability to foster and promote good relationships with staff and students
- Passion and drive to enable all children to succeed, regardless of background or educational need
- Has a thorough understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues
