- To have achieved, is working towards, or is willing to work towards the SENDCo Award.(Training can be provided)
- To be an outstanding practitioner
- To have high expectations for both learning and behaviour
- To be able to set the highest standards for themselves and others
- To be an excellent team player
- To have excellent communication skills
- To have excellent subject and curriculum knowledge
- To have proven experience of managing SEN provision
- To have the ability to work in collaboration with all stakeholders, including teaching and non teaching staff, parents and outside agencies.
- To have knowledge and understanding of the latest SEND legislation
