Class Teacher with TLR-Lead Teacher for Achievement job summary
Ainsdale St John’s CE Primary School is seeking to appoint an ambitious, reflective and values‑driven teacher to join our dedicated team as a Class Teacher with a TLR2 responsibility for Achievement from September 2026.
At ASJ, pupils are known, valued and encouraged to flourish academically and personally within a warm, inclusive and nurturing Christian community. Our vision, “Aspire to Shine for Jesus”, underpins daily life in school and is lived out through our core values of courage, community and compassion. Recent Ofsted inspection (February 2026) recognised our strong culture of care, inclusion and safeguarding, alongside pupils’ excellent attitudes to learning and strong staff-pupil relationships.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly effective classroom practitioner who is passionate about raising attainment through high‑quality teaching, interested in research‑informed pedagogy, and keen to work collaboratively to support whole‑school improvement. The TLR2 role is focused on influence, modelling and professional dialogue, making it ideal for a teacher ready to take the next step in their career while remaining firmly rooted in classroom practice.
As part of the Liverpool Diocesan Schools Trust, we offer a strong culture of professional learning, collaboration and support, enabling staff to grow as confident, reflective practitioners. If you are committed to ensuring the very best outcomes for all pupils and would like to contribute to a school where children and staff truly thrive, we would be delighted to hear from you.
