What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a passionate and skilled KS2 teacher to join our dedicated team at Stone with Woodford C of E Primary School. Our school is at an exciting transitional point in its over 150-year journey. With a new headteacher appointed last term, we are seeking a teacher who puts kindness, creativity, determination and excellence at the heart of what they do.

Teaching Responsibilities

As the Y3/4 Class Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress to ensure all children achieve their potential.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects the school’s values.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the broader curriculum and school life.
  • Act as subject leader following discussions with the Headteacher
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with families and the wider school community including the church.
  • Engage with professional development activities.

Essential Criteria:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Recent experience of teaching in KS2.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to the school’s vision and values.

Ability to inspire and motivate pupils and colleagues.

This is a fixed term contract with a view to becoming a permanent role.
