Class Teaching Assistant job summary

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is a member of St John the Baptist Catholic MAT. The school's mission is to serve God and one another through Love, Faith and Hope.

We are seeking to appoint 4 enthusiastic, creative and dynamic teaching assistants to join our hard-working and supportive team. The successful candidates will demonstrate energy, pride in their work and a passion for children's learning. As part of our team, you will support the class teacher in delivering activities and interventions, support children with their social interactions in class helping them to form positive relationships with their peers.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • be sympathetic towards the aims and ethos of our Catholic school
  • work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENDCO
  • challenge, motivate and inspire children to achieve their best
  • have an approachable, positive mindset and be able to build strong relationships
