Chapel Green School require qualified Classroom Assistants.
We are a Complex Needs School for pupils with moderate, severe or profound learning difficulties between the ages of 3 to 19. All pupils have different learning needs; they learn best when they are happy and excited about learning.
Chapel Green School is a supportive, challenging and happy learning environment, where all individuals are respected and encouraged to reach their full potential.
We are looking for qualified teaching assistants and classroom assistants with commitment to develop their skills in the field of Special Educational Needs. You will need to be a team player, calm, patient, have an eye for detail and a good working knowledge of ICT; full training, induction and mentoring will be given.
These posts are needed to enable us to facilitate the induction and inclusion of our pupils.
Your role will be working across a variety of classes and departments in school. You will be working under the direction of the corridor leads and class teacher.
We would encourage applicants with experience in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, signalong or British Sign Language. However this is not essential.
The school runs a comprehensive programme of professional development.
Consideration will be given for part-time or job share for the right candidate.

Chapel Green is a Complex Needs School for pupils with moderate, severe, and profound learning difficulties between the ages of 3 and 19. All pupils have multiple and complex needs. All pupils have a significant learning need.

We are looking for a confident and creative individual who enjoys being with children/young people and works constructively as part of a team. They will need to have enthusiasm and energy, be creative and flexible and be self-reflective and organised. They will need to be able to plan the learning of pupils with a wide range of needs using a fully differentiated approach.
Applications are welcomed from teachers with experience in special education from mainstream and or special schools. Our teachers have a thorough understanding of child development and learning, especially in the early years of a child’s development, so this position would suit a teacher from the primary sector.
