Classroom Teacher job summary

We are looking for dynamic, passionate and enthusiastic practitioner, who is willing to learn and wants to achieve the very highest standards of teaching and learning. We want someone who is able to see the possibilities for our exceptional learners and develop provision that enables all to thrive. This role is for an Autism needs class within Willow Dene School.

Willow Dene is a special school for children aged 2-19 with a wide range of special needs. We are a forward thinking and innovative school that is committed to providing an outstanding education for children with a wide range of learning needs. We have been awarded NAS advanced accreditation and are a MOVE centre of excellence. We have designed and implemented our own ground breaking personalised assessment system. Willow Dene is part of a unique and exciting eleven school federation, enabling us to forge meaningful mainstream links that benefit both children and staff.

We have been judged by Ofsted as "Outstanding". The report recognised that ‘all staff are determined to give every child who comes through the school’s doors the best possible start in life’ and ‘leaders have successfully created a culture where staff feel valued and supported’.

You will be joining a friendly, enthusiastic and well qualified staff team and we hope you will find this post challenging, stimulating and rewarding. In-service training, an induction programme and mentoring will be provided by the school.
