CLASSROOM TEACHER job summary
This is a Full Time post to cover Maternity Leave, initially for 1 year with the possibility of extension.
We are an outstanding Area Special School looking to appoint a dynamic and creative practitioner to the post of classroom teacher. Applications are welcome from experienced SEND practitioners or those wanting to make the move from mainstream to specialist provision. The post is within the Key Stage 4 phase at the main secondary school site on Barwell Lane.

Offering a broad and balanced curriculum in an all-age (3-19), broad spectrum special school, catering for pupils with a wide range of learning needs including those with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficultes, Severe Learning Difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties and Autism (who may be functioning at higher levels academically), the successful applicant will have high expectations of each individual learner at Dorothy Goodman School.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and subject to a check being carried out at an Enhanced level by the Disclosure and Barring Service regarding any previous criminal record.
