Looking to be part of an effective team in a small village school? Flintham might be the school for you.

Flintham Primary School is a small, rural primary school in the village of Flintham, situated in south-east Nottinghamshire, between Newark and Bingham. Our staff, parents and community work together to provide a caring and inclusive school. We aim to deliver an ever-evolving education where teaching and learning is engaging, challenging and creative within a safe, nurturing environment. We support all our pupils to help enable them to realise their potential academically, socially, morally, spiritually and culturally within a caring environment, underpinned by our ‘Super Six Aims’.

We are looking for a fantastic teacher to work in our popular and successful school. This is an ideal opportunity for you to work in a supportive environment and to share and develop your skills and expertise.

You will need to have a thorough knowledge of the primary curriculum, a commitment to achieving the highest standards and have a strongly held belief that all children can achieve. We will expect you to be reflective about your own practice and keen to contribute to your own learning and professional development. However, first and foremost, we are looking for the right people to add to our special team and applications are welcome from candidates who have a willingness to be part of a creative and ambitious team.  ECTs are welcome to apply.

As part of Equals Trust you will have access to high quality professional development, collaborative working and a highly skilled, supportive and experienced team of senior leaders, including other local schools, across the Trust.

We are looking for a practitioner who:

2.     Believes in every child and makes sure all individuals are appropriately supported

3.     Has secure subject knowledge and a good understanding of the National Curriculum

4.     Has the determination, energy and creativity to make learning memorable and inspiring

5.     Works well in a team, valuing every member of the school community and has strong communication and interpersonal skills

6.     Has a positive attitude and is willing to share ideas and learning

7.     Has the enthusiasm and talent to contribute to extra-curricular and community life at our school

8.     Has highly effective communication skills and a commitment to working well in partnership with parents and governors as well as with colleagues

9.     Has experience in working in mixed age classes, preferably in Key Stage Two

10.  Consistently delivers well planned, engaging and exciting learning opportunities

11.  Has naturally high expectations and standards

12.  Has high ambition for pupils with SEND and those who have English as an additional language to ensure they can access all opportunities to learn in a nurturing and inclusive environment

In return we can offer you:

·       Children who are rewarding to teach and who thrive on success, nurture and positive relationships.

·       A dedicated and highly motivated staff team who have a shared commitment to our school vision and ethos.

·       Professional development, collaboration and support through being a member of Equals Trust.

·       A friendly working environment.

·       Enrolment in the Teachers Pension Scheme

·       A supportive Local Governing Body

·       Access to employee health and wellbeing services.
