Classroom Teacher - Literacy job summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Literacy to join King’s Academy Ringmer. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to students who require additional support to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching alongside targeted literacy intervention, supporting students with low reading ages and additional learning needs. Working closely with the English department and SEN team, you will play a key role in identifying gaps, delivering effective support strategies, and evaluating their impact on student progress.

You will contribute to improving literacy outcomes across the academy, supporting colleagues to embed effective literacy strategies within their teaching, and promoting an inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed.

This role would suit a teacher who is passionate about inclusion, has a strong understanding of literacy development, and is committed to ensuring that every student is supported to thrive.
