Grade: MPS (M1 - M6)
FTE percentage: 1 FTE, 32.5 hours per week, 52 week per year
Contract Type: Fixed term
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:00
Maternity cover until Friday 23 April 2027
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for providing inspirational learning experiences. You will play a vital role in making a difference in the lives of all our children. The ideal candidate will be a hardworking and supportive team member with a strong understanding of how children learn and the ability to plan and deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
For blended learning schools:
We are also seeking an experienced teacher with a deep understanding of blended learning and its role in supporting classroom practice. You will be responsible for leading and supporting staff in implementing a blended teaching approach while leading by example.

What Makes Discovery Different:
- To ensure our teaching staff get the time and space to learn, we have launched - Teacher Development Time (TDT).
- By embracing technology, we’re able to deliver virtual lessons, allowing teachers to be released from their class each week, to focus on their own learning and development.
- In addition to their TDT, teachers also work alongside a coach, to ensure they have someone to discuss their learning with and help identify their strengths and areas for development.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability group/subject/s that you teach.
- Be responsible for the preparation and development of teaching materials, teaching programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate.
- Be accountable for the attainment, progress and outcomes of pupils’ you teach
- Be aware of pupils’ capabilities, their prior knowledge and plan teaching and differentiate appropriately to build on this demonstrating knowledge and 2 of 5 understanding of how pupils learn
