What skills and experience we're looking for
The team at The Snaith School are looking to appoint a teacher of Maths who will play a pivotal role in providing a high standard of teaching and learning to support students of all backgrounds and abilities. The role is suitable for an ECT or an established teacher.

The team at The Snaith School are looking to appoint a teacher of Maths who will play a pivotal role in providing a high standard of teaching and learning to support students of all backgrounds and abilities. The role is suitable for an ECT or an established teacher.
Starting in September 2026, the role is up to full time and will be paid on TEAL’s qualified teachers pay scale (points 1 to 9). If you are interested in working on a part time basis, please get in touch as we would be happy to explore this further with you.

- Reject fads and ensure our CPD is evidence-informed and predominantly subject specific
- Have reduced data collections to twice yearly
- Do not expect staff to respond to emails outside normal working hours
- Do not deploy staff at other Trust schools unless it is at their request
We have removed the following:
- Performance management objectives and performance-related pay
- Lesson observations and high stakes, toxic accountability
- Onerous marking policies
- Requirements for daily or weekly lesson plans
Above all, we recognise that seeking to remove the number of tasks staff undertake will have little effect on improving work/home balance if this happens within a toxic culture. What are we looking for?
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about Teaching and Learning and wants to make a positive impact on the lives of young people. You must hold Qualified Teacher Status by the time the role commences, and have knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of effective teaching and learning, monitoring/ assessment and evaluation.
