What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors of this ‘good’ city school are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, hard-working, talented and inspirational teacher. This is initially a temporary contract due to budget restrictions.

We are a very friendly one form entry school, with a great team ethos, both working with children and with each other. Community is very important to us, and we build local links wherever possible. We place a huge emphasis on creative and outdoor learning opportunities using our extensive forest and grounds. We are constantly striving to raise standards in the school but still have time for fun and enjoyment within our learning community. We are members of the Nottingham Schools Trust (NST) who work together to support each other to give the very best opportunities for the children of Nottingham City.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have very high expectations of themselves and the children they teach and be committed to ensuring all children achieve their potential
  • Enjoy being a member of a team that works hard to raise standards of teaching and learning
  • Be a creative, talented and dynamic teacher who places children at the heart of their teaching
  • Be forward thinking with a positive attitude and great interpersonal skills
  • Have the ability to make learning exciting and accessible and be committed to making a difference to the current and future lives of city children
  • Can use assessment data to inform planning in order to further accelerate progress and have a belief that all children can achieve
  • Has the ability to work under pressure with calmness and a sense of humour
