You will be an excellent communicator and a collaborative team player, able to equip pupils with the skills and experiences they need to become confident, independent, and active learners, as they continue their journey towards a successful and fulfilling life.

You will be able to:

  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of progression within your subject(s), alongside a commitment to staying up to date with developments in pedagogy.
  • Set ambitious and appropriate targets for pupils, with clear teaching objectives, structured lessons, and sequences that support all learners to reach their full potential, including in literacy, numeracy, and ICT.
  • Use engaging and effective teaching strategies that inspire curiosity, including skilled questioning, clear explanations, and purposeful use of resources.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour through clear expectations, well-focused teaching, and consistent application of the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with parents and carers.
