Teacher, Suitable for NQTs
We are seeking to appoint 2 x Teachers at Pathfield School to work with complex needs students with Learning Difficulties and a range of learning needs. Across the school our children are working at Early Years or Primary levels of ability.
You will need to be:
Creative and Imaginative,
Experienced in the primary/EYFS curriculum,
Have a flexible approach,
Passion for working with children with Complex Needs
Knowledge of an ABA approach would be an advantage
A sound knowledge and understanding of learning opportunities in a Special School is essential.
You will be expected to engage in regular training to secure your continued professional development.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for the successful applicant.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.

About Pathfield School
Pathfield is a maintained school currently with 176 pupils aged between 3 and 19 years and is situated in Barnstaple, North Devon. We cater at an individual level, for pupils with profound or severe learning difficulties and for pupils on the autistic spectrum. Pathfield School values joint working and has provision on site for physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, music therapy, health and social care. We have strong links with our families, parents, carers and the local community and work in partnership with the school governors, Parents Teachers and Friends Association and the Pilton Association of Schools.
