Classroom Teacher- Primary job summary

Job Overview

Classsroom teacher will deliver effective, engaging lessons that help all pupils make good progress. They will create a positive classroom environment, maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement, and contribute to the wider life of the school.

• Plan and deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Teach in a way that meets the needs of all learners.
• Create a safe, positive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Assess and track pupil progress to inform next steps in learning.
• Provide clear feedback to support pupil improvement.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, presentation and effort.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues on planning and curriculum.
• Contribute to staff meetings and ongoing professional development.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers.
• Support pupils’ wellbeing and personal development.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies.
