What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and innovative teacher. We welcome applications from highly successful and experienced primary, secondary, mainstream or special school teachers. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have successfully worked with children with SEND current or previous experience.

We would like to appoint a teacher who is able to adapt well to new challenges and is committed to raising achievement, has the ability to demonstrate outstanding practice and high ambition for our pupils and students. The successful candidate will be especially skilled in differentiating planning, implementing additional support programs to meet pupils’ specific needs and who is able to manage a support staff team.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • An understanding & interest in SEN, with experience in working with pupils requiring additional support in accessing the curriculum;
  • The ability to ensure aspirational pupil progress for all pupils, regardless of their prior attainment, which is usually significantly below age related expectations;
  • The ability to work effectively within a team, providing direction to support staff delivering targeted intervention programmes.
