Yeoman Park Academy would like to appoint an outstanding, creative and committed KS4/5 teacher to work in our Upper Team Unit to facilitate and deliver a relevant and meaningful curriculum for groups of students with ASD / SLD working on Aim Awards Personal Progression accreditation and taking part in Transition activities. The academy is due for refurbishment/rebuild in the near future.

Yeoman Park is an outstanding academy for pupils with severe (SLD), profound (PMLD) and complex (ASD) learning difficulties school aged 3-18. The academy provides a stimulating, challenging and safe learning environment where individuals are valued and nurtured.
Qualified teacher status is essential and experience of teaching SEND in a special school environment would be desirable. However, we would welcome applications from newly qualified teachers or those in the early stages of their careers who would like to develop their skills in a special school environment. All applicants would be required to support the development of new initiatives across the academy and MAT.
This is an ideal opportunity to work as part of our Upper Team where students are encouraged to be independent and to make their own decisions. Students follow Aim Awards Personal Progress Accreditation and part of the group works on transitions work with other establishments. The class is based in an Upper Team building that is situated 500 yards from the main school on the same site as The Manor Academy. We have recently occupied the whole building and as such this is real opportunity to develop and shape the site with the rest of the team.
