Cleaner job summary
We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and committed cleaner to work between 3.30pm - 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, 42 weeks per year, to start as soon as possible.
The purpose of the cleaner is to provide cleaning services to support the academy in delivering effective teaching and learning for our students, including but not limited to the following duties:
- Cleaning duties throughout the Academy including specialist cleaning during holiday periods such as deep cleans.
- Key Holder responsibility
- Maintaining health and safety and reporting any concerns to the manager.
- Awareness of COSHH and ensuring chemicals are handled correctly.
- Ensuring practice is in line with Academy policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a dedicated team player who develops excellent relationships with students and colleagues.
- Be flexible to changing demands of the post
- Be driven, motivated, adaptable, resilient, reflective and have a good sense of humour.
- Be punctual and reliable
- Take pride in a job well done, committed to achieving high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- An understanding of H&S and hygiene are important.
- Willing to undertake any training relevant to the role
- Trustworthy, maintaining confidentiality at all times in respect of school related matters and to prevent disclosure of confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Initiative and the ability to work without supervision, but as part of a team
