Cleaner job summary

The University of Kent Academies Trust is seeking to appoint a reliable, hardworking and conscientious Cleaner to join our site team at Brompton Academy.

You will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors. Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you will ensure that allocated areas of the academy are cleaned to a high standard in line with Trust expectations.

Hours of Work
  • 19 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday: 3:00pm - 7:00pm
  • Friday: 2:00pm - 5:00pm
  • Term time only
About the Role

Your duties will include general cleaning tasks such as:

  • Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas
  • Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors
  • Cleaning and sanitising surfaces and touchpoints
  • Ensuring toilets and washrooms are kept clean and fully stocked
  • Supporting the site team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be:

  • Reliable, punctual and well organised
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Hardworking with a positive and flexible attitude
  • Able to follow health and safety procedures
  • Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided
