School Cleaner with Keyholder Responsibilities

We require a cleaner to join our Premises team to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of our school environment.

10 hours per week (5pm – 7pm Mon- Fri term time with 20 hours non term time).

Purpose of the Job: To ensure that the School premises and furnishings are cleaned in accordance with the School/LA standards and methods .

.To work as part of the cleaning team to ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the School at all times.

.To liaise with letting groups under the direction of the Premises Manager.

The role will involve:

liaison with any lettings groups under the direction of our Premises Manager

layout of rooms for meetings and training sessions and clear down as required

to clean designated areas to a high standard

to follow cleaning frequency as laid down by the school

to ensure the correct usage of cleaning materials

to use powered equipment as directed by the Premises Manager

to undertake training in all aspects of Safeguarding

to undertake training in the correct use of cleaning machines and in health and safety and the use of cleaning chemicals

to have due regard for Health and Safety issues

to be responsible for reporting and problems relating to Health and Safety to the Premises Manager/Headteacher
