Salary: Band A - Full time equivalent salary range: £23,656 to £24,027 per annum. Actual salary range for working 15 hours per week term time is £9,048 to £9,190 per annum
Hours of work: 15 hours per week. Monday to Friday. 6am – 9am or 3.25pm to 6.25pm.
Term time plus 4 weeks during school holidays (total 43 weeks per year)

Henley in Arden School are looking for a cleaner to join our friendly school and provide an efficient support service to the school by ensuring a clean, safe and secure environment.

This support mechanism ensures that leaders collaborate and innovate together to provide an outstanding educational experience for our school, and provides continuous opportunity for further development for our staff.

The key responsibilities for this post are as follows (a comprehensive job description is available):
- Daily cleaning and deep cleaning
- To keep all areas of the school clean and tidy, e.g. mopping, vacuuming, dusting, floor polishing, toilet cleaning
- Use of mechanical equipment, e.g. floor polishing
- Ensure equipment is in good working order
- First aid
- Safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults
Qualities & Qualifications required (a full person specification is available):
- A reasonable standard of literacy and numeracy, with a willingness to undergo future training and development
- Ability to carry out manual handling and other physical tasks
- Good communication skills with the ability to talk with school staff, pupils, parents and contractors
- Basic understanding of IT
- Daily cleaning and deep cleaning experience
- Basic knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation relative to the post
