We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. This permanent role is essential in ensuring our academy remains a clean and inviting space for learning.

Job Title: Cleaner

Location: Highfield Littleport Academy

Hours: 15 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 3pm to 6pm

Salary: ALT Grade A - Actual Salary £8,180

We are a thriving community special school in Cambridgeshire, dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching environment for children aged 2 to 19. Highfield Littleport Academy offers unique learning experiences for students with significant and complex needs, including physical, sensory, communication, and medical support requirements.

Situated in beautiful, spacious grounds on the edge of Littleport, our academy boasts excellent facilities, including a hydrotherapy pool and a well-equipped sports hall. As part of the Cambridgeshire Active Learning Trust hub, we work closely with local mainstream schools to promote inclusive education, sharing expertise, resources, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine cleaning tasks across the academy, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying bins, and more
  • Assist in room setups and specialized cleaning during academy closures
  • Ensure areas are stocked with essentials like soap and paper towels
  • Report any issues related to safety, materials, or equipment to the Site Manager
