King’s Leadership Academy Wavertree
King’s Leadership Academy Wavertree is seeking to appoint a reliable, conscientious and hardworking Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors.
This is an important role within our academy community. The successful candidate will take pride in ensuring that classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas are cleaned to a high standard and that the school environment supports a calm, purposeful and professional atmosphere.
About the roleAs Cleaner, you will carry out a range of daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitising surfaces, emptying bins and replenishing consumables such as soap, hand towels and toilet rolls. You will also support deeper cleaning during holiday periods and report any hazards, repairs or maintenance issues to the Site Manager.
You will be expected to follow all health and safety procedures, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and to work in line with academy policies and procedures.
We are looking for someone who:Has previous cleaning experience, ideally in a school, office, healthcare or commercial setting
Understands health and safety procedures, including COSHH
Can work independently and manage time effectively
Has good attention to detail and takes pride in their work
Is reliable, punctual and trustworthy
Has a positive, flexible and professional approach
Is committed to safeguarding and maintaining a safe environment for children
Supports the values and ethos of King’s Leadership Academy Wavertree
Basic cleaning or health and safety training, such as NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning, would be desirable but is not essential.
