Job Opportunity: Cleaner

We are seeking a hard-working and dedicated School Cleaner to join our friendly team at Parson Cross CE Primary School. In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking various cleaning duties throughout the school to ensure our children's learning environment is always clean and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out a range of cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
  • Ensure the school premises are kept in a clean and hygienic condition
  • Replenish supplies and materials as needed
  • Work as part of a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practises in cleaning

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Experience in cleaning duties
  • Ability to work under your own initiative without supervision
  • Awareness of the importance of providing a quality service and satisfying the cleaning requirements of the school
  • Awareness of the importance of hygiene in the workplace
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliability

Desirable:

  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations as they relate to the operation of cleaning equipment and materials
  • Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
  • Understanding of the school's ethos and values
  • A 'can-do' attitude

Parson Cross CE Primary is a single form entry Church of England primary school in the north of Sheffield. There are currently 208 children in our school and we have seven classes from Reception to Year 6.
