Cleaner job summary

Tasks:

¨ Cleaning and descaling of toilets

¨ Cleaning of internal glass

¨ Cleaning of offices

¨ Cleaning of classrooms

¨ Cleaning of hall

¨ Cleaning of specialist units/classrooms

¨ Cleaning of Reception area

Responsibilities:

¨ To use electrical equipment (polishers, vacuum’s, steam machines) in a safe and proper manner following all safety precautions including checking for damage to cables and plugs at the commencement and finish of usage.

¨ To ensure that all equipment is cleaned and stored in the appropriate manner and all dust bags are emptied.

¨ To ensure full compliance with COSHH regulations to include correct dilution rates and usage according to manufacturer’s instructions.

¨ To comply with the quality policy with St Francis Catholic Academy.

¨ To be punctual and complete all contracted hours and ensure correct recording of these times in the daily log.

¨ Report any problems that require professional attention to the Site Supervisor.

¨ To complete all training deemed necessary by the Site Supervisor.

¨ To assist the Site Supervisor in providing cover in the absence of staff.

¨ Any other duties as required by Site Supervisor.
