Westcroft School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Cleaner to perform cleaning responsibilities, ensuring the school is maintained to high standards in line with health and safety regulations.
Westcroft School is rated “good” by Ofsted and is situated in Wolverhampton. We are a special school for pupils with complex cognitive difficulties whose age range is 5 to 19 years, who are seeking to appoint a motivated, dedicated and driven Cleaner.
We are an Academy School, part of the Central Learning Partnership Trust (CLPT). We strive to ensure our children receive an education which inspires and promotes positive learning and ensure that rigorous CPD supports all staff in becoming the best they can be.
Core Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Site Manager, be responsible for the cleanliness of a specified area within the academy to ensure hygiene standards are maintained. This will include working to a set timescale
- Work as a team with other cleaning staff to ensure the whole academy is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness
- Be vigilant to risks and hazards and ensure these are reported correctly under COSHH in order to maintain a high level of health and safety
- To be responsible for replenishing hygiene items, such as soap and towels, in order to support staff, pupils and visitors to maintain personal hygiene standards
- To maintain required cleaning records in order to comply with health and safety and academy procedures
- Undertake appropriate training to understand the correct ways to use and store cleaning equipment and domestic products in order to comply with health and safety regulations
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant professional qualifications or willingness to undertake training
- Experience in a similar role or transferable skills from a related field
- Strong knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and best practices
- Experience of working in a school
- Has worked with SEND pupils; particularly those with complex learning needs
- Ability to improvise and adapt at short notice

This declaration is to confirm that you are not disqualified ‘by association’ to anyone currently residing within your household who is disqualified under the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulation 2009
