Term- time + 50 hours to be worked during school holidays

We are looking to recruit hardworking, dependable and flexible cleaners to join our small and friendly team. The role is important in ensuring that our school is a safe, clean and well maintained environment for students and staff. We offer a supportive working environment and the opportunity to contribute to a positive learning space for our students and staff to thrive.

There are two roles available - please state on your application which role you are interested in:

Cleaner 1: 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 2.30 pm - 5.30 pm

  Actual salary: £9,192.25 per annum (pro rata)

Cleaner 2: 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3.00 pm - 5.30 pm

  Actual salary: £7,783.76 per annum (pro rata)

Key responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, sweeping and dusting of classrooms, bathrooms and communal areas

• Comply with all relevant health & safety and infection control policies and procedures

• Ensure all cleaning supplies are used and stored safely and stocks are replenished, as required

• Maintain equipment in good working condition

• Report any maintenance or hygiene issues to the cleaning supervisor/facilities manager.

The ideal candidate:

• Will have proven experience as a cleaner or similar role in a school or childcare setting

• Understands the importance of maintaining hygiene and safety in environments with children

• Has knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling of cleaning equipment

• Can work efficiently, independently and takes pride in high standards

• Is physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, lifting and bending.

The closing date for completed applications is 9.00 am on Monday 13 April 2026, with interviews taking place during the same week.
