Clerical Assistant job summary

This is a great opportunity to join our successful Emneth team as part of our busy Academy office. You will be reporting to and working with our long-standing experienced Operations Manager.

We’re looking for someone who can maintain a positive and calm outlook, a friendly approach and can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. You will need to be able to carry out instructions and work on your own initiative, be able to pay close attention to detail and provide exceptional support to our pupils and families.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • dealing with parental enquiries and visitors
  • general reception duties
  • clerical tasks e.g. daily attendance registers
  • answering phone calls and emails

Job Details:

22.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 1 week)

Grade C 3-4 £11,892 - £12,089 (per annum, pro-rated) (April 2024 pay award pending)

Role Purpose

To provide receptionist and clerical support to the Academy,

To support the Operations Manager by undertaking set tasks in order to fulfil the general office requirements of the Academy.

Skills & Experience

Level 2 (GCSE A*-C) or equivalent in English and Maths

Experience in a busy general office environment is an advantage
