What skills and experience we're looking for
We are now looking for a Clerk to the School Advisory Board (SAB) to join our Central Services Team, working up to 9.48 hours per week. This is a great role for a strong administrator, with clerk experience, who is looking for a part time, flexible role.
The Clerk to SAB plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the SAB meetings, preparing agenda and papers and taking accurate minutes. The Clerk also provides advice on governance, constitution and procedural matters to ensure members are following good practice. Meeting start times will usually be out of school hours commencing between 4.30pm – 5.30pm. You can expect to attend approximately nine SAB meetings throughout the academic year plus optional training/networking sessions. There is also the opportunity of occasional additional hours to clerk specific panel meetings.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Excellent administration and communication skills
- Experience of minute taking
- Confidentiality and impartiality
- Good interpersonal and organisation skills
- Competent in Microsoft word
- Essential email and internet access
- Access to a computer is desirable.
