We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic College SEND Teacher/Instructor to join our team on a fixed-term basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them develop the skills, confidence and independence they need for positive futures.
At the heart of this role is a commitment to delivering high-quality, inclusive education that enables every learner to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Working within a supportive and collaborative environment, you will plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning programmes that meet a wide range of needs, strengths and aspirations.
The Role
As a College SEND Teacher/Instructor, you will:
- Deliver creative and inclusive teaching across a range of subjects and curriculum pathways.
- Create structured, supportive learning environments that promote engagement, wellbeing and achievement.
- Adapt teaching and communication approaches to meet individual learning and sensory needs.
- Support pupils' emotional regulation and development using positive, relational approaches.
- Monitor and celebrate progress, contributing to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for learners.
- Play a key role in preparing young people for adulthood, greater independence and lifelong success.
