Belvoirdale Primary School (Good Ofsted, November 2023) in the heart of Coalville, is seeking applications for the position of a Communication Support Worker (CSW) to support a deaf child (year four) who is beginning to use British Sign Language (BSL) to communicate. Belvoirdale is a caring and inclusive school, where pupils, staff and parents/carers are valued. This is a specialised role with the following requirements.
Required:
A BSL qualification to at least BSL level 2 (or equivalent experience)
Be enthusiastic and flexible and have the ability to develop the skills to gain further qualifications if required
Be able to work effectively as part of primary school classroom team
Be able to understand and support the teaching and learning of all pupils including those with SEND across the primary curriculum
Be able to communicate effectively with home and school
