Weeks worked: Term time plus 5 inset days (39 weeks per year)

Hours per week: 14.8 hours per week – Thursday & Friday – 08:00 – 15:45

Matthew Arnold is a thriving community school on the outskirts of Oxford looking to appoint a Communications Team Administrator. Matthew Arnold is an oversubscribed inclusive 11-18 school of over 1,300 pupils that serves a mix of urban and rural communities across the west side of Oxford. The school prides itself on being a high achieving school with increasing rates of progress for our disadvantaged students. This has been achieved by focusing on improving outcomes for every student and continuing staff development.

Summary:

You willsupport colleagues across school by anticipating and providing administrative support services. All members of the communications team will provide core support for general administration (e.g. BROMCOM, emails, phone calls, parental enquiries); Student Services reception, first aid cover, reprographics. Within the communications team each administrative post has a specific responsibility in addition to its core support

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Managing student behaviour and attendance records using BROMCOM and Google.
  • Managing student reception enquiries and lost property
  • Providing general administrative support to House Leaders
  • Coordinating senior staff calls for behaviour support
  • The Administrator may be deployed in different areas which may include; supporting House Leaders, Using BROMCOM for managing student information and assessment data, administrative support to the leadership team
  • Deliver administrative support to the school community for each specific responsibility
  • Assist with the shared duties of the school’s Communications Team
  • Carry out other duties relating to the core purpose of this job specification as required

Requirements:

  • Good level of English and Maths as well as good IT skills in Google and Windows
  • First aid trained or willing to undertake training
  • Experience in a similar post would be beneficial
  • Customer-focused service on the telephone, face to face and in writing
