Wood Green School has a vibrant and frowing community presence, with facilities used seven days a week by sports clubs, art organisations, charities, parents, and local groups. Alongside this, our highly active PTA plays a major role in fundraising and strengthening our connection with families.
Together, these activities generate vital income that is reinvested directly back into our students, our facilities, and our wider school community.
We are now creating a new Community Partnership & Commercial Revenue Lead role to bring greater structure, ambition, and sustainability to this work, supporting our vision of Wood Green School as a purposeful and welcoming community hub.
About the role:
This role is about shaping and growing our community and commercial offer.
You will:
- Lead the development of a coherent, high-quality lettings and partnerships offer across seven-day site use.
- Design and bring to market community, commercial, and partnership opportunities that generate sustainable income.
- Work closely with our PTA to support and align fundraising activity with the school’s wider priorities.
- Champion Wood Green School as a community hub, ensuring activities are inclusive, well-managed and reflect our values.
- Set and uphold service standards across community use, providing direction and support to weekend community hosts within a largely self-sustaining model.
- Protect the core business of the school by ensuring safeguarding, curriculum time, and day-to-day operations are not compromised.
- Use insight and data to report on performance and inform future growth.
This is a 12-month pilot role, offering the opportunity to shape a function that cound become a permanent part of the school, and Trust’s future.
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking someone who is commercially astute, community-minded, and values-led.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in developing income-generating activity, partnerships, or services
- Confidence building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- The ability to balance opportunity, risk, and responsibility in a school environment
- A proactive, practical approach to building something new
You don’t need to have worked in education before, but you do need to understand the importance of safeguarding, reputation, and protecting learning.
