Community Sports Development Officer - Swimming Instructor job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified swimming instructor to join our Community Learning team at Seaton Valley High School.
Seaton Valley is unique among Northumberland schools in having our own 25metre swimming pool that helps swimmers of all ages to develop water confidence and swimming skills. We have a well attended programme of swimming lessons for children and adults and are seeking an experienced Swimming Teacher to run the sessions.
Our popular swimming programmes run termly, Monday to Friday from 5pm for Ducklings up to stage 7 of the ASA Learn to Swim Pathway, to either small groups of learners or occasionally as 1:1 tuition;
Qualified with at least an ASA Level 2 Certificate in Teaching/Coaching Swimming (or equivalent), you will have previous experience of delivering the ASA Learn to Swim Pathway, or similar, to ensure successful progression of learners depending on their ability and needs within a fun and friendly environment. We will particularly welcome someone who can contribute to the development of community swimming and improve access to this important resource.
This role is casual to cover adhoc sessions.
