Join our dedicated team at Buxton Community School as a Cook, where you’ll play a key role in providing nutritious, high‑quality meals for our students and staff. We’re looking for someone with a passion for good food, excellent kitchen standards, and a friendly, positive attitude. In this busy school environment, you’ll help plan and prepare daily menus, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience that supports the wellbeing of our whole school community. The successful candidate will:
- Lead the preparation, cooking and delivery of high‑quality, nutritious meals across two busy kitchens.
- Maintain full compliance with food safety, allergen management, HACCP procedures and all statutory / school requirements.
- Support, supervise and motivate catering staff, contributing to training, task allocation and high standards of service.
- Manage stock, portion control and waste effectively to support cost‑efficient kitchen operations.
- Uphold excellent hygiene, health & safety practices and contribute to a positive, welcoming dining experience for students.
