Cook Supervisor job summary

This varied and rewarding role covers three catering outlets across the Kings Priory School sites, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their working day. It’s also a great opportunity for anyone seeking term-time working, offering an excellent work-life balance.

You’ll support and supervise catering support staff, oversee food preparation and service, and use IT systems to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Working in line with the School Food Plan, food safety standards, health & safety requirements, and allergen legislation, you’ll help ensure school food is safe, nutritious, and appealing.

Reporting to and supported by the Catering Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service, providing guidance, encouragement, and hands-on support to staff. You’ll need good communication skills and a positive, team-focused approach, along with experience of working in a catering environment and operating safely within a budget.
