Cookery Club Lead job summary

Location: Heyford Park School , 74 Camp Road, Upper Heyford, OX25 5HD
We are seeking a passionate and organised individual to lead our Cookery Club for students. This weekly after-school club is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young minds with the joy of cooking, healthy eating, and kitchen creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging cooking sessions suitable for children.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment in line with school and food safety policies.
- Write and maintain suitable risk assessments for all activities and ingredients used.
- Encourage teamwork, creativity, and confidence in the kitchen.
- Manage ingredients, equipment, and clean-up after sessions.
Requirements:
- Experience in cooking or food preparation (professional or personal).
- Enjoy working with children and supporting their learning.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to write clear and appropriate risk assessments.
- Food hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain one).
