Leigh Stationers' Academy is seeking an ambitious and dedicated Coordinator of Learning - Chemistry to provide strategic and operational leadership across all Key Stages. We are looking for a dynamic specialist to lead our curriculum and drive academic excellence.

The Role

As the lead advisor to the SLT on Chemistry, you will design and implement rigorous schemes of work and assessments. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the department, including staff deployment, resource management, and full oversight of examination entries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct lesson observations, work scrutiny, and moderation to ensure top-tier instructional quality.
  • Analyse student performance data to refine teaching strategies and implement effective interventions.
  • Support the professional growth of your team, ensuring the department remains at the cutting edge of science pedagogy.
  • Take full accountability for departmental results, driving increased attainment and a passion for Chemistry.
