About the Post
We are looking to appoint a motivated and inspirational colleague with a passion for transforming the life chances of young people as a Cover Supervisor. Possibly considering a future career in teaching, you will be required to supervise and support students who are engaged in learning activities during the short-term or unforeseen absence of their usual class or subject teacher. In addition, our Cover Supervisor team are employed to administer and supervise daily centralised detentions.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a progressive and forward-thinking environment, alongside exceptional professionals who are passionate about the power of education to shape young people’s lives. The Grange School and nearby Twynham School are federated (known collectively as ‘Twynham TGS’), and work closely together. You will be based primarily at The Grange School but are likely to work regularly across both our schools.
The Grange School has been on a rapid school improvement journey and we achieved a “good” rating at our last Ofsted inspection in November 2021. Working closely with Twynham School has created the capacity for continuous improvement and this post is one of a number of opportunities to work across both schools, bringing even closer alignment. Twynham School is a very special place with an excellent reputation both locally and nationally. It is a heavily over-subscribed school where achievement is exceptionally high, students are well-behaved and eager to learn and relationships are very special.
