What skills and experience we're looking for

Cove School is seeking to appoint a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor who will be responsible for classes during short term absence of a class teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of behaviour and ensuring set tasks are completed.

Applicants should be positive and flexible, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to use your initiative. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, with the ability to speak to students in a manner which encourages, motivates and supports them. You should have a good standard of education including Level 2 Numeracy / Literacy skills, and the ability and willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school. Previous experience of working with young people in a professional environment is desirable, but not essential. The post will suit someone with a natural ability to engage with and build an excellent rapport with young people.

This role is a superb opportunity for anyone considering a career in teaching who wishes to develop their experience in a classroom environment. Training will be provided in classroom and behaviour management, and the school provides excellent opportunities for career progression if desired.

If you are interested in becoming part of our school team, building on our success and joining us on our exciting journey to become an outstanding school, we would love to hear from you.
