Cover Supervisor job summary

Thank you for your interest in the post of Cover Supervisor which offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work in our improving and thriving school during an exciting time in its development.

The role of Cover Supervisor is a crucial one as it ensures that students receive consistent high quality education from recognised school staff during short term periods of teacher absence. The successful candidate will play a significant role in ensuring that BBEC continues to improve at an accelerated and sustainable rate.

We are looking for someone who has an aptitude for working with students and teachers in a professional manner, modelling behaviours for staff and students.

The successful candidate will have:

Experience of working with children aged 11-16

Maths and English at level 4 GCSE or above (or equivalent) and a degree

Experience of working effectively with small groups of students or covering whole classes

The ability to work as part of a wider team

The ability to motivate and enthuse students through a commitment to equal opportunities, regardless of background, Special Educational Needs or prior attainment
