RMAT is more than just a collection of schools. We're a community dedicated to empowering students, academies, and colleagues to reach their full potential. We pride ourselves on being the kind of place people want to work – our academies are the kind of schools that teachers want to teach in.
We empower teachers with classroom autonomy, provide ongoing coaching for professional development, and value the contributions to student success made by all colleagues at RMAT. We combine classic educational values – excellent teaching, respect, good behaviour, and a strong curriculum – with a forward-thinking approach. We are a community that is constantly striving to learn, grow, and provide the best possible educational experience for all.
Our academies benefit from strong, supportive and compassionate leadership which creates a harmonious environment for staff and students alike. The RMAT community is a place where colleagues can develop their skills, find their own style and methods of teaching, learn and grow alongside their students, and feel that they are making a real difference to the lives of those they teach.

We are an inspiring place to learn, with high aspirations for each of our young people. We aim to secure outstanding examination results for all our young people, providing innovative intervention and mentoring support, to remove any obstacles in their way. Every member of staff is fully committed to working relentlessly to achieve this. Moreover, we motivate our young people, through our academy culture, to aspire to the very best for themselves too. We strive to develop a growth mindset in each of our young people – a belief that intelligence is not fixed or inherited but can be improved if we learn from our mistakes and continually try hard.
We are a happy and well run organisation, where students feel confident to strive and develop. It is an academy where engaging, stimulating and appropriate learning takes place so that every student can achieve their true potential.
We work closely with home and these partnerships wholeheartedly support the development of our young people into successful and ambitious young adults. That said, we are not complacent and continue to strive to make improvements, big or small, in all facets of academy life, to make our organisation a truly outstanding one.
At Rodillian we believe that traditional values of discipline and respect are sacrosanct. We do not tolerate bullying, defiance or rudeness to staff and this has made for a harmonious and safe learning environment for our young people and a supportive environment for staff, where they can concentrate their efforts on teaching and their own continuing professional development. Our school is also committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Though we may be traditional in our approach to discipline, our curriculum is as modern, innovative and personalised as we can make it.
