As a Cover Supervisor, you will be an essential part of our team, helping to maintain continuity of education for our students in the absence of their regular class teachers.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons to students across a range of subjects.
  • Maintaining a positive and purposeful learning environment in the classroom.
  • Supporting the behaviour, welfare, and engagement of students.
  • Providing feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school, including supervision during school events and activities.

This role is ideal for someone considering a career in teaching or working with young people, with excellent communication skills, a calm and authoritative presence, and a genuine interest in supporting students to achieve their best.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Has experience working with children or young people (desirable).
  • Is confident managing behaviour in a classroom setting.
  • Possesses good ICT skills and is familiar with systems such as SIMS (desirable).
  • Has a minimum of GCSE level qualifications in English and Maths (or equivalent).
