Cover Supervisor job summary
Dear Prospective Candidate,
Thank you for your interest in the Cover Supervisor position at ACE Schools. We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic staff to join our team within Plymouth.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting and facilitating the learning and development of the pupils in our care. The ideal candidate will bring experience of working with young people who have additional needs, alongside the resilience and commitment needed to support learners day-to-day. You will be expected to work both within and beyond the classroom, including off-site activities, to help our students engage and succeed in their education.
Working closely with our teaching specialists, you will:
Provide academic support to individuals and small groups.
Help young people develop coping strategies and make positive behavioural choices.
Offer care, encouragement, and consistency so they can thrive socially and emotionally.
This role is an opportunity to be at the forefront of making life-changing differences for young people—ensuring they receive the same high-quality education and opportunities as their peers.
If you have strong communication skills, a professional and organised approach, and a genuine desire to make a difference, we would love to hear from you. A full driving licence and access to transport are essential for this post.

ACE Schools Plymouth AP Academy (part of ACE Schools Multi Academy Trust) was formally set up on 1st June 2016 with the aim of building on the solid foundation established by the previous PRU.
