Cover Supervisor job summary

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Cover Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, better ensuring that students continue to learn and make progress in a calm, safe, and purposeful environment.

The role involves delivering prepared lesson plans and being able to manage the classroom in line with the AGS behaviour policy, whilst promoting engagement and a positive learning experience for AGS students.

The successful candidate will join a well-established team of staff, which includes two other Cover Supervisors who have both been at AGS for a significant period of time. Our Cover Supervisors are part of an excellent team of staff who undertake and excel in a variety of teaching and support roles.

The Cover Supervisors benefit from excellent supervision and line management and contribute hugely to the school’s success.
