We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented cover supervisor to work within our existing cover team, providing classroom cover across our Aylsham Learning Federation Schools. Whilst this post will be based at Aylsham High School, the main focus for day-to-day cover will be across our primary phase schools (Bure Valley School and John of Gaunt Infant and Nursery School) and this could mean working flexibly across more than one school in one day. On a day-to-day basis, if cover is not required in our primary phase schools the post holder will work with our cover supervisor team at Aylsham High School.

The successful candidate will be expected to cover a range of ages, subjects and classes, and will work across the federation which includes children from age five to sixteen. The cover supervision role will sometimes include other activities such as covering for a teaching assistant, technician, administrative roles and medical needs office. Ideally you will have experience in a school environment, however this is not essential as full training will be provided. What is important is that the successful candidate is flexible and can work well in different and busy environments, whilst remaining calm. Applicants with experience in a classroom support role would be welcomed along with those who have had previous experience in behaviour management.

Aylsham Learning Federation includes Aylsham High School, Bure Valley School, John of Gaunt Infant and Nursery School and John Bear’s Nursery. Aylsham Learning Federation support staff are part of an excellent local government pension scheme with a generous 20%+ employer contribution. All of our colleagues can benefit from discounted membership to our leisure facilities available through Aylsham Sports Hub, including a purpose built gym along with reduced fees for our nursery located in Aylsham. The school has excellent staff, great facilities, and a wonderful group of pupils. The support that we enjoy from parents and the wider community is fantastic.

If you would like to join a successful and genuinely warm and friendly school with a tremendous community attitude, then we would love to hear from you.

Further details are available on the school website - www.aylshamhigh.com or by telephoning Mrs A Barker, HR Officer, on 01263 733270.
