Are you passionate about education and looking to make a difference in students' lives? Longsands Academy is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to supervise whole classes of students and ensure that pre-set work is completed in the absence of the teacher. This role is crucial in maintaining the continuity of teaching and learning during short-term absences of teaching staff.
Your Role:
- Supervise Students: Manage student behaviour to ensure a conducive learning environment.
- Daily Cover Requirements: Liaise with the Senior Leadership Team to determine daily cover needs.
- Encourage and Support: Motivate students to complete their work and provide feedback to absent colleagues.
- Recognise Achievements: Implement strategies to recognise and reward student achievements.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative duties and support the pastoral team.
- Examination Invigilation: Act as an invigilator during external examinations if needed.
