Astrea Academy Sheffield is seeking a confident and committed Cover Supervisor to join our team on a one-year fixed term basis starting in February 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Support students in understanding and completing their work.
  • Liaise with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and support wider school activities when required.

  • Qualified Teacher: You have qualified teacher status or have relevant experience working within a class room ideally with key stage 3 and 4.
