PolyMAT is a small but ambitious Multi-Academy Trust with a unique family feel. Our vision is Success for Everyone, and we are seeking a motivated and inspiring Cover Supervisor to help deliver this vision across our schools.
We currently comprise three schools:
- Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys - a long-established and successful boys’ secondary school
- Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls - opened in 2019 and growing rapidly
- Bannockburn Primary School - a large, successful primary school that joined the Trust in November 2023
We also have a thriving co-educational Sixth Form provision.

About the Role:
Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to uphold high standards of learning and discipline, ensuring that students remain focused and engaged during teacher absences, and contributing meaningfully to a positive and structured educational environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be confident, supportive, and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate the ability to build positive relationships with young people
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff to support student progress
- Be highly organised with a good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Present a professional appearance and attitude
- Be able to interact confidently with staff, students, and parents
- Show high levels of attention to detail
Previous experience is not essential, but a passion for working with young people and a commitment to our values is a must.
